Happy November!
As I sit here, I am seeing the colorful leaves hang on the trees after a solid week of rain showers followed by snow flurries overnight and build up on cars this morning. I cannot believe we are entering the later part of fall and heading into the holidays. Where did the time go?
It has been an amazing 10 months of 2023 for us, despite what you may have read all summer about inventory levels. Fortunately, those levels have not impacted every facet of the market and we have had the fortune of listing lots of great properties giving Buyers more opportunities. There has been a steady number of homes hitting the MLS for the last 3-4 months and every indication of my business shows strong activity until the end of the year.
Though direct waterfront home sales are down double digits YTD the value is statistically even, giving Buyers the comfort of knowing that there is strong value in purchasing now. Off water homes are also down in sales double digits YTD where value is slightly down year over year. Not horrible numbers relatively speaking and certainly gives Sellers a good time to sell and Buyers seeing value holding. I’m happy to say we have had a great year so far and expect things to continue through the 4 th Quarter and which time I will start prepping for a busy 2024.
One last note.
“It’s a good time to Buy”
The minute interest rates go down, even by a point,
we know everybody’s waiting for them to drop,
and when they do, Buyers will come rushing back into the market
and prices will explode again.
So, you will be paying more for the same house.
